Trout or salmon?

It is the salmon/trout run up here in WI and I was wondering what are the types of salmon/trout here in the UP. Also this guy catch one. It was big like a salmon but, was brown with red spots like a brown trout. Which was it? I also would appreciate some pictures of the different types of salmon and maybe even the trout so I can identify them if I finally catch one. Oh, he also catch this silver one. Could that have been a salmon? It was about the same size as the brown one just silver. Thanks so much, cause I'm really confused.
