Is PROPHECY really evil and the devil? Does the bible say that?

The gift of prophecy comes by way of the Spirit of God. Yet it is more prone to be about the preaching ministry of the church than than the actual telling of the future. Prophecy also has to do with discerning spirits to tell if someone is telling the truth or what they are proclaiming is the truth.
