When a loved one pes away from cancer and has no will but does have a Beneficiary deed, who gets the rest?

My cousin(M), who I and my grama(M's Aunt E) had been caring for in M's home day and night, died from cancer on Jan 1. M had no will but deeded to me and E, as joint tenants her residence with a Beneficiary Deed. She had 2 brothers and her mother, whom she had become estranged with for various reasons, were still named as Beneficiaries of her estate. One brother(K) was at one time named personal representative and had not been changed. They had very little contact with her the last 3 months of her life. What contact they did have was negative. M had given away most of her possessions before her death to numerous people. E recvd a letter from Ks lawyer investigating Ms financial affairs to determine what ets are part of her probate estate. Basically they are greedy and want all of M's stuff which doesn't constist of much(furniture, jewelry, etc.) which was in her home. K said his mother only wanted the bdrm furniture. We moved the rest out to get the home ready for sale. They'r suing
