Why do people follow religion so blindly, and how is the Bible reliable?

all religions are bs. they are just a way to brainwash ppl. i mean, ppl are so stupid and they dont realize that theyre following something with so much pion, thinking it has a solid base, when in reality its validity is greatly challenged. older religions such as the roman or greek belief in many gods, and their "myths" are believed to be untrue, cuz they obvously seem "silly" and an excuse as to why things happen? why cant ppl realize that this is the same with their own religion?
